Dear Supporters, 

This is an important moment that we need your help with to ensure we don't have another 5 years of horse carriage accidents and welfare complaints on Victoria city streets. 

The leases for the horse carriages are set to be renewed and city council needs to hear from locals and people abroad that now is the time set a clear timeline for phasing out and banning the horse carriages, not continuing the status quo. 

On our website here, you will find a form letter that you can send as is, or modify that will be sent to Victoria mayor and city council encouraging them to not renew the lease with the carriage companies for another 5 years. 

There are over 40,000 signatories to this petition asking city council to ban the horse carriages. If even one-hundredth of you send a letter, that would send a strong message to council to act. 

In 2019, Victoria mayor Alto, then a city councillor, said the horse carriages were a "sunset industry." It has been five long years for the horses and those who advocate for them since then, the sun has set, the time is now.
