Help save Lower Pandora!

A development proposal has been submitted to City Council to demolish 552-556 Pandora Ave. This historic building has been the heart of our neighbourhood for years, home to Habit, Mo:Le, Bliss, Cavity, and now Dumpling Drop. While Mo:Le, Bliss, and Cavity have moved on, Habit has been a cultural hub for more than 14 years. Since Dumpling Drop has moved in, the street has been reinvigorated with life during the global pandemic. The loss of this building would be a loss to the community; without Habit and Dumpling Drop, an essential part of Lower Pandora would go missing. In addition to losing these businesses, the proposed development would supersede the current building height restrictions for Old Town, increasing it to five stories. An approval of a building of this height is the first step towards turning Downtown Victoria into a soulless metropolis. Due to COVID-19, we can not rally together at a town hall meeting to protest this development, so we must make our voices heard through alternative means.
