Why this petition matters

Started by Lauren Ralph

For more than 20 years, South Australia's courts have taken an inconsistent approach to sentencing killer drivers. Despite the loss of lives, penalties vary widely from short prison terms down to just $300 fines. We are calling on the Attorney-General to legislate a mandatory 10-year minimum term for the aggravated offence of causing death by dangerous driving to create consistency in the penalising of grossly drunk, drugged, speeding, unlicensed and reckless drivers.

This petition is dedicated to the families involved in the Road To Justice campaign, to anyone who has lost a loved one due to aggravated death by dangerous driving and families of victims who have not received justice or support for the loss of their loved one, killed by negligent drivers on our SA roads.

In memory of my sister Abigail Louise Ralph 04/08/93- 15/01/03

Killed at Age 9 by killer driver, Jarrod Damian Payne.
