Come June 22, Bendigo Pubs will be allowed to have 50 patrons in each separate  space up from 20 providing they stick to the 4m x 4m self-distancing rule amongst other strict measures in place. 

Patrons will also be able to grab a drink without having a meal which is great news, but here's the catch - an extra 30 people in a room doesn't actually mean an extra 30 people in the room with the 4m x 4 m rule, if the pub isn't large in size. And let's face it, there's not too many pubs in Bendigo that are large in size! 

The bottom line is, our pubs are struggling enough as it is, so let's cut them some slack and ask our Vic Government to follow Western Australia's 2m x 2m rule.  Patrons will still be self distancing and the pubs will have a greater chance of survival!
