In July 1999, DreamWorks Pictures released a big-budget remake of "The Haunting", based on the novel "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson.  While the film got negative reviews from critics and broke even at the box-office, it has since become a bit of a cult classic among fans.  We, the fans, would like to see a Special Edition DVD and Blu-Ray release of "The Haunting", with all-new Bonus Features included, such as all-new interviews and commentaries from the cast and crew of the film, such as director Jan De Bont, writer David Self, and/or the film's stars Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson and Lili Taylor.  We would also like to see new bonus features such as the film's deleted scenes, including the deleted hedge-maze scene, cut scenes shown from the TV spots and trailers (like Theo and Nell discovering a brick wall when they open a door to one of Hill House's rooms), the alternate ending with Theo returning to Hill House, and others.  "The Haunting" may not be as beloved by most fans as the Shirley Jackson novel or the 1963 film adaptation of "The Haunting" by director Robert Wise, but we, the fans, hope to see a new Special Edition release of the 1999 adaptation with much more new content and bonus features added.
