My neighbors and I are residents of firefly circle in Colorado Springs, CO, who are struggling to keep up with the cost of living. The escalating prices of medications combined with our mounting bills have pushed us to the edge financially. Now, we are faced with increased Homeowners Association (HOA) monthly dues that seem unjustified and unnecessary. 

We firmly believe that there exists unnecessary expenditure within the association's budget that should be reduced before considering an increase in our HOA dues. Colorado has the 13th highest cost of living in the United States according to the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center (MERIC). As such, residents like us are burdened even further with increasing HOA fees during these challenging economic times.

It's important we come together as a community and call our representatives to veto the proposed budget ratification. We implore that unnecessary funding is revised and reduced. This concrete action will allow us to maintain our homes and communities without the anticipated undue financial strain.
