Veterans don't have to die

The Issue

"Thank you for your service",is a response most veterans have heard. However, how many of those responses are sincere? Does it matter if the veteran served in war? Does it matter if they served overseas? Does it matter if they served only a year? Well, it shouldn't. A veteran, like a police officer, firefighter, or nurse, signed up to serve. I know that was the case for me. However, many don't know of the pitfalls veterans face after their tour of duty.

Many veterans are committing suicide. I believe that most of them can be prevented by proper care. Proper medical care involves urgency, decency, integrity, and safety. The VA can twist and bend these words to their liking, because they are removed from the eyes of the general public. All lives matter and all lives deserve the best care.

Although, the VA has some of the best medical staff in the world; there are many that must be held accountable for failure to diagnose, misdiagnose, and cutting corners.

I have a spinal cord issue and can't get appropriate help. I've seen multiple doctors and they are running from a radiology report that states "disc bulge indents the ventral thecal sac. Hypertrophied ligamentum flavum flattens the dorcal sac." If it is happening to me. It is happening to someone else. I'm only one person. There are many suffering far worse than me. Speak up for them. Sign, share and let the VA know that you care about how our veterans are treated.

Thank you!
