Release “Gatt” the Chained, 3-Legged Sled Dog to a Rescue!

The Issue

“Gatt” is an elderly, three-legged sled dog living chained at Dallas Seavey’s famed Iditarod racing kennel. Gatt was injured while racing and is forced to spend the rest of his life on a chain, with little range of movement, and is hardly able to get in and out of his dog house.

Surely, after being on the team that earned Dallas his very first Iditarod win in 2012, Gatt deserves a REAL retirement home where he can live comfortably and pain-free.

Please urge borough mayor - Vern Halter - and Gatt’s owner - Dallas Seavey - to release Gatt to a rescue like The August Fund (they are willing to take him!). A special-needs, elderly dog does not belong on a chain!
