VCU announced that they will be combining all of the Humanities & Sciences school graduations into one ceremony in spring 2020.

Prior to this year, schools such as the Robertson School had their own, separate graduation ceremonies. These were intimate celebrations with the people we worked with for the majority of our college careers, and combining these has turned it into something generic and less special.

We ask that VCU reinstate departmental graduations - these are events to celebrate what we spent four years working to achieve, and we would prefer them to be smaller celebrations that are not chaotic and take away from the significance of the moment. We want to be able to truly enjoy it with our families and the small, close-knit group of people we have spent the last several years with.
