Today I have revised and updated the main text of this petition, to reflect some changes to our knowledge of the problems caused by Disposable Single-use Vaping, by children.
I am highlighting that are two inter-linked issues - the nicotine addiction of children and the environmental damage from 5 million vapes dumped each week.
The UK government has launched a public consultation on child vaping. The feedback and ideas gleaned from this petition will be submitted to that consultation.
Some supermarkets are normalising vapes as if they did not even containing the powerful drug nicotine, by re-sited all vaping products at the end of isles, and close to the tills. The photo above highlights in large print the highest strength of nicotine vapes available . This can only encourage Vaper’s to become even more addicted to nicotine of the highest strengths available.
It would be helpful to get feedback in the comments section of the petition, about the new text and thoughts on what the government should be doing about this new drug trend in children and young people.
