The reason why we chose this topic is because vaping is a worldwide problem which especially gets worse in schools because that can make it spread even in the future as we get older. Even though the vape problem was getting lowered the companies decided to go after children by making the vapes have flavor. The companies declined the allegations that they were going after children even after being given hard proof that they were.

What we have seen is schools that are using vape detectors are having fewer kids vape. According to our research, over 10% of kids are vaping in schools now, but when vape detectors are in schools and bathrooms it reduces vaping by 70%. This shows that adding vape detectors can reduce the amount of vaping. Despite the cost, which is around $450-650, adding these can help kids steer clear of trying to vape in schools.

After all of our research, we have found out just because it might be quite expensive, but it is worth it. It has proven that it will prevent vaping in schools and if it does not stop the vaping it will decrease the amount of vaping in schools by an extreme amount. Schools might think it won't do anything, but from our research it will prevent it, so they do not have to worry about kids and their parents having problems with vaping inside the school area.  Signing this petition will help show your support to end vaping in the bathrooms.
