We are the Bruce Parent Action Group.  There are 218 kids at Bruce Elementary School in East Vancouver.  Our school is on a "potential closing list" because we are only 70 % full.

But our area of East Vancouver is expanding rapidly !  Wall Centre Central Park will soon add over 1,000 new homes. Westbank Projects' 29 storey condo tower and the Joyce-Collingwood Station Precinct plan will add another 2,600 new homes in the next 15 years. 

There is new zoning is specifically aimed at providing affordable housing for families. 

All this development is directly in the catchment of Bruce Elementary.  We know that new families will be moving into homes in the area, and more kids will come to our school as the condos at Wall Centre will be ready to occupy soon.

The buildings are going up but our schools are at risk of being closed down. This just does not make sense ! Help us fight to keep our schools open for this community ! SAVE BRUCE !
