Stop a public demonstration scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 2pm starting in front of the Cactus Club located at the foot of Denman and Davie St., at English Bay in Vancouver.

The goal of the event is to protest for the current lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As responsible neighbours of this area who have been following the government guidelines asking to stay home as much as possible and to completely avoid public gatherings in order to try to stop as much as we can the spread of COVID-19, we consider this event a very irresponsible action going against all logic and common sense during this current situation.

COVID-19 has changed and impacted the lives of all of us, some more than others, and we all look forward to seeing the end of this very unusual situation as soon as possible.

In order to achieve this, we all must follow the guidelines provided by Health Canada, the Government of Canada and the BC Government.

We, as neighbours of English Bay and Beach Ave, have been following these guidelines and have adapted and changed our lives accordingly to do so.

Therefore, we do not want any actions that will put at risk our lives and the lives of those who we care for.
