Although we are extremely disappointed that ten Pakistani students may still not be able to take up their places at UWC, we greatly appreciate everything UWC International has done so far and their clarification of the situation. We are currently trying to work together to source alternative funds. To help do this, we have begun putting together information packages for potential donors, conveying the power and track record of the UWC movement, the students’ motivations for applying, and a detailed financial plan. We are also attempting to set up a crowdfunding page; one student’s scholarship has already been funded through the generosity of UWC alumni, and we hope that perhaps more scholarships might follow. Anyone who could contribute funds at this time would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to share any expertise or connections, that may be useful in securing funding, we would be extremely grateful. Once again, we would like to reiterate that we are all on the same side and that UWC International, the Pakistan National Committee and the colleges are working incredibly hard to save as many scholarships as possible.
