Shut Down Elevations RTC

Shut Down Elevations RTC
The Issue
This petition is to shed light on the long-standing pattern of alleged abuse at Elevations RTC (formerly known as Island View) in Syracuse, Utah. It is crucial that we come together and demand the immediate closure of this facility to protect vulnerable youth from further harm.
Elevations RTC is part of a network of powerful and punitive congregate care facilities called the Troubled Teen Industry. The Troubled Teen Industry operates under the guise of providing therapeutic treatment for struggling teenagers. However, numerous reports and testimonials from survivors have exposed their dark reality – a reality filled with alleged physical, emotional, and psychological abuse disguised as "treatment."
Elevations RTC is one such facility that has been repeatedly accused of subjecting its residents to abusive practices. Disturbing allegations include physical restraints, isolation techniques, verbal abuse, neglect, failure to report child abuse, and even instances of sexual misconduct by staff members. These allegations cannot be ignored or dismissed any longer.
It is our duty as responsible citizens to protect our youth from harm rather than subjecting them to further trauma under the pretense of "treatment". We must hold Elevations RTC accountable for their actions by demanding an immediate shutdown.
By signing this petition, you are joining a collective voice demanding justice for those who have suffered at the hands of Elevations RTC. Together, we can bring an end to the alleged abuse and ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the care and support they truly deserve.
To better understand this industry and its affiliated facilities, I urge you to watch https://youtu.be/t_Mo_Y25Pok Let us unite in our fight against abuse and advocate for a safer future for our youth.
This petition was started by one of many survivors of this program who has had their life permanently impacted by their time there. It was made to honor those who are no longer with us, and those who will never recover from the trauma they endured.
