HB0257 entitled H.B. 257 Sex-based Designations for Privacy, Anti-bullying, and Women's Opportunities was passed by that Utah Legislature right wing conservatives and signed into law, effective May 1st.  This law requires people to use bathrooms and locker rooms in public schools and government-owned buildings that match their sex assigned at birth.  Simply because some small minded bigots in our legislature believe that transgender people are the ones causing hateful acts in public restrooms (even though in fact its been proven that those acts are more commonly carried out by straight bigots acting out of hate toward LGBTQ individuals).  This bill is inhumane, and furthermore it's ridiculous in that there is no way to actually enforce it.  Utah has set up a "tip line" that has received over 12,000 "fake" reports of bathroom abuse by people who are fed up with this fascist nonsense.  I urge you to sign your support for repealing this hateful law and its disgusting insinuations.
