SAMPLE TEXT to place a call with any of these Utah government officials.

I am calling you about Victoria Sethunya and her son, Chris. There is a Change.org petition with over 15 000 signatures supporting their reunion. I believe you read it. I witness the suffering Victoria experiences daily due to the harmful separation from her son. Victoria says Utah DA Sim Gill created a crime that triggered ICE. As a result, ICE deported her son without a hearing and with medical injuries sustained in Utah. The same Utah ICE office that deported Victoria’s son is the same office Victoria says tried to deport her years ago but failed. Victoria and her son deserve justice; five years is a long time for a mother to be separated from her son. Meanwhile, Utah Compact claims compassion towards migrant families, and we expect Utah to live up to its standards. When will Victoria be reunited with her son? After they give you an answer. Ask them - Can you call or email Victoria to let her know this? Thank you.

Or Call LDS Church Headquarters

 801-240-1000.

I am calling on behalf of Victoria Sethunya and her son Chris. Chris was deported about five years ago. I witness Victoria's suffering and call for her reunion with her son. She informs us that you know their story and that the Latter-Day Saints Church members comprise the majority of the people in the Utah government. Our question is: when will Victoria be reunited with her son? I learned that the families that the unjust migrant state policies have severely impacted had been those in marginalized groups. I am calling on the Utah LDS leaders to end the injustice towards migrant families. Separating Victoria and her son was a miscarriage of justice, which is the opposite of what good church members in government do.
