Jun 27, 2017 — Friends: We have a major update for you regarding Nosey! The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (known as the FWC) has rejected the Liebel family's permit application to keep Nosey in Florida. In May, the FWC claim that they contacted the USDA and received an itinerary for Nosey's scheduled performances that was not reported by the Liebels in their FWC permit application, as they were supposed to. Based on the fact that the Liebels supplied inaccurate information and withheld information from their permit application, their application was subsequently denied (see the image below). Florida is where Nosey lives when she is not performing, and the FWC have determined she is no longer permitted to live there. CompassionWorks International is consulting with two attorneys on what the FWC permit denial means and what the next best steps are for helping Nosey. We will have additional information to share within the coming week. Presently, Nosey is not in Florida and will soon be performing at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire in Ohio from July 8 to August 13 under her USDA permit. (Please boycott this event!)
