Emporia NEA is advocating for a plan to reopen schools that ensures the safety of every student and staff member.  We are advocating for schools to remain closed until September 9, 2020.  Our community has seen a significant rise in cases, as of late. We believe that an additional three weeks is essential for the development of a plan, and the effective communication of how the plan will be implemented for families and staff.  Please delay the opening of schools for USD 253.
