The threat of tariffs on European wine has returned, with the U.S. government threatening to further tariffs from 25% to up to 100%. The imposition of additional tariffs on EU wines will only exacerbate the millions of American jobs lost during the devastating crisis caused by the pandemic, and force hundreds of thousands of small businesses to close their doors. Putting American jobs and small businesses at risk is not a fair way to settle a trade dispute that has nothing to do with wine.
