In Thailand, there are a large number of expats who rely on their embassies to issue income verification documents to extend their retirement or family visas annually. The UK, US, and Australian embassies recently decided to cease the issuance of income verification documents. This decision will adversely affect a large number of expats living in Thailand who have relied on such a document for many years. We, the undersigned, call on the UK, US, and Australian embassies to renew discussions with Thai Immigration officials to find a workable and sensible solution to this problem that will result in the reinstatement of income verification documents.
