US Postal Service Mail Box Vandalism and Theft

US Postal Service Mail Box Vandalism and Theft
The Issue
Dear United States Postal Service,
We, the undersigned residents of Regency Square in Hayward, Ca, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the ongoing theft of our mail and vandalism of our mailboxes. These incidents have been occurring on a regular basis and are causing a great deal of stress and inconvenience for the residents of our community.
We understand that there are steps being taken to address this issue, including the replacement of antiquated Arrow locks with electronic locks to deter criminals from targeting mail receptacles. However, we feel that more needs to be done to prevent mail theft and vandalism in our neighborhood.
We demand that the United States Postal Service take immediate and effective action to prevent further incidents of mail theft and mailbox vandalism. If the current measures are not sufficient to secure our mail and mailboxes, we request that the Postal Service resume the practice of delivering mail to each individual house in our neighborhood to mitigate and deter the large scale of mail theft.
We also ask for clear and immediate communication regarding the steps being taken to address this issue, as well as regular updates on the progress of these measures. Additionally, we urge the Postal Service to provide us with information on how we can report any incidents of mailbox tampering or break-ins.
We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your swift and effective response to our concerns. Our community's safety and security are of the utmost importance, and we trust that the United States Postal Service will take the necessary actions to address this pressing issue.
Sincerely,
Regency Square Homeowners
