Most of you who have filed for compensation and been denied have heard of Rachel Leiton. If you haven't, consider yourself lucky. She is the person who will send you hateful letters denying your appeals. It's hard to imagine a more cold-hearted sociopath -- unless you count her boss, Donald Trump. On his Inauguration Day, I sent Trump a letter about the EEOICPA. During his campaign, Trump stated: "Today there is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted." Yes, billions are being wasted. I pointed out to Trump that it would have been easier and cheaper to compensate us Cold War Warriors instead of paying parasites like Rachel Leiton millions of dollars to come up with excuses for not compensating us. And yet, the same guy who promised to look out for average working Americans and "Drain the Swamp" left the biggest python of all in place. Instead of reading about a prime example of the "rigged system" he decried on the campaign trail, Trump did absolutely nothing besides send my letter to Rachel Leiton, who in turn sent me another litany of excuses ... and swallowed her big, fat paycheck at the expense of sick and dying nuclear workers. Feel good about yourself, Mr. President?
