Tell Congress: Don't Shield the Iranian Regime. Vote NO on the War Powers Resolution
The Issue
I was born in Iran in 1979. My family fled to the U.S. when I was in first grade. I’ve personally seen what horrors the Iranian regime is capable of.
I still have family there. The regime hasn’t changed.
This petition is to: The House Committee on Foreign Affairs and The Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. This is an urgent attempt to halt the most significant blow to global tyranny in decades. While the sponsors cry "illegal war," the Iranian people are in the streets celebrating the success of Operation Epic Fury and the long-awaited removal of the tyrant Ali Khamenei. To stop this operation now is to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and abandon 85 million people to the remnants of a wounded, desperate IRGC.
I. Addressing the Hypocrisy of the Sponsors
Senator Kaine, your resolution claims to prevent war, but it actually creates a vacuum that allows the IRGC to regroup and continue their reign of terror. Why was this urgency missing for the last decade of conflict? We need a resolution that finishes this war so the Iranian people can finally breathe. Do not let your resolution become a shield for the IRGC.
Senator Schiff, you have long talked about the need to protect the Iranian people from the IRGC. Now that there is a chance to finish the job and ensure the IRGC doesn't turn on its own citizens, you are hiding behind procedural war powers to stop it. We need leadership that finishes the war, not a Senator who flip-flops on executive power based on who is in the White House. Stand for the freedom of Iranians, not just for politics.
Senator Padilla, as a Californian, I expect you to stand for the human rights you claim to champion. If you pass this resolution, you are abandoning the citizens of Iran to the IRGC. We are stronger together, and that includes standing with those fighting for freedom. Do not vote for a resolution that leaves the IRGC in power to terrorize its own people.
Senator Paul, your desire to 'bring troops home' should not come at the cost of leaving a terrorist regime like the IRGC intact to turn on its own people. Isolationism is not a strategy for peace; it’s a recipe for future conflict. Help us finish this war the right way so we don't have to go back in five years. Vote against this resolution.
To Rep. Ro Khanna: You call this an "illegal regime change war," yet you remained silent during the illegal massacre of some 43,000+ Iranians in January 2026. Your "legalism" only applies when it protects a regime that gasses its own students and rapes its own daughters. Supporting this resolution today is a vote to put the IRGC back in power. This is legal regime change!
To Rep. Thomas Massie: You justify your isolationism as "fiscal responsibility," yet you are the "lone no" vote on nearly every human rights sanction against the IRGC. By attempting to block this mission, you aren't saving taxpayer dollars; you are providing a "free pass" to a regime that uses chemical weapons on civilians. There is no "America First" in a world where you allow a terrorist state to regroup and continue a genocide.
To Rep. Ilhan Omar: You describe the strikes as a "reckless abuse of power." We ask you: What is more reckless than allowing a regime that uses chemical weapons against its citizens to keep its power? Your "anti-war" stance is a hollow shield for a theocracy that the Iranian people have already rejected with their lives.
II. The Reality of the "Epic Fury" Rescue
The sponsors of this resolution use the fear of "endless war" to paralyze us, but today’s events have proven them wrong:
The Dictator is Gone: The removal of Khamenei has decapitated the most dangerous terror network on earth in less than 1 day.
Precision Over Chaos: The strikes were targeted, surgical, and achieved more in 24 hours than 40 years of failed "negotiations" ever did.
The People’s Demand: Across Iran, citizens are celebrating. This is not "U.S. aggression"; this is an international rescue mission long requested by the Iranian people.
III. The Evidence of January 2026
We must never forget why these strikes were necessary. In January 2026, the Islamic Republic:
Murdered over 43,000 peaceful protesters.
Used chemical agents against civilian crowds in Sabzevar and Tehran.
Conducted systemic, state-sanctioned sexual violence in detention centers.
The Qar Powers Resolution resolution would force the U.S. to retreat and allow the IRGC to regroup and continue these atrocities.
IV. Our Call to Action
VOTE NO on the Khanna-Massie-Omar War Powers Resolution.
SUPPORT the ongoing military operations to neutralize the remaining IRGC command structures.
RECOGNIZE the transitional democratic movement of the Iranian people as the only legitimate authority in Iran.
