We have received information that our 101 members still held at the Edirne deportation center in Turkey are currently subjected to dangerous circumstances and conditions.

A distressing incident of assault has been reported by one of the family members of the detainees. In her testimony, she relays that one of the detainees contacted her with alarming information, stating that detained ISIS members and extremists have reportedly started attacking their group, posing significant threat to their lives. She mentions that one of our detained Iraqi members, Muneer Mahdi, was beaten by extremists in an incident that escalated into a big problem. The ISIS members involved come from various nationalities, including Libya, Morocco, Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. They have identified the group's religious affiliation and continuously shout derogatory remarks such as "infidels" and "heretics".

Disturbingly, the management of the detention center appears to favor these ISIS members, providing them with special treatment, including better food and privileges like phone cards. The family member emphasizes that the ISIS members receive respect and protection, while the management fails to intervene or offer any form of protection to our detained members. She urgently warns that our detained members are in grave danger, as ISIS members are known for their violent tendencies. She expresses deep concern, as she was informed that they constantly monitor and harass our detained members.

Isis Members Assault Members of the Faith in Detention

In his testimony, Muneer Mahdi provides his own account of the incident of assault he was subjected to. He relays that they were sitting outside, watching TV after the elderly individuals were allowed to go out. Suddenly, an individual believed to be an Islamist extremist, possibly an ISIS member, came forth and changed the channel abruptly. When questioned about this action, the individual physically attacked Muneer and beat him, displaying anger and aggression. Muneer attempted to restrain the attacker, but their response remained violent. The attacker proceeded to insult them, referring to them as "infidels" and "apostates." Eventually, prison guards intervened, but to Muneer’s surprise, it appeared that they sided with the attacker. The guards placed Muneer inside while allowing the attacker to remain outside. This unjust treatment and the threatening looks from the attackers have left the Muneer feeling helpless and concerned about his safety.

Algerian Detained Member Fearing Persecution Because Of Her Sexual Orientation

Meanwhile, one of our detained members from Algeria, Soumia Foufa, describes in a recent testimony the dangerous situation she’s presently in as she remains detained within the aforementioned unsafe circumstances at the deportation center. She discloses that the reason why she had to flee and seek asylum in a safer country were the serious threats she was facing in Algeria stemming from her belief in the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light and her sexual orientation. 

She states that the threats escalated since her departure from Algeria and her situation worsened with her detainment within the deportation center in Turkey. She endures constant intimidation and persecution due to her refusal to renounce her faith, as well as her sexual orientation, causing her great distress and suffering. 

The Turkish authorities have issued deportation orders against Soumia and the rest of the group, which can mean certain death for LGBTQ individuals in Algeria. She urgently appeals for help to be released and granted asylum in safer lands where she can freely practice her faith without fear of persecution based on her faith or her sexual orientation.

It is important to note that our members are being kept in the same ward, Ward A, with ISIS members and Islamists. Although they are not in the same room, they all share the same hall when they go out.

The situation is extremely concerning, and immediate action must be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of our detained members. 

We implore all relevant authorities and organizations to intervene promptly and provide protection to our members who are unjustly facing dangerous conditions and targeted assaults. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available.

أبلغ فرد من عائلة أحد الأعضاء المعتقلين عن حادثة اعتداء مؤسفة، حيث أوضحت السيدة في شهادتها أن أحد المعتقلين اتصل بها وأبلغها بمعلومات مقلقة، مشيراً إلى أن أعضاء من داعش وبعض الإسلاميين المتطرفين المحتجزين قد بدأوا في مهاجمة مجموعتهم، مما يشكل خطراً كبيراً على حياتهم، وذكرت أن أحد أعضائنا العراقيين المعتقلين، وهو منير مهدي، تعرض للضرب من قبل أحد المتطرفين في حادثة تحولت إلى مشكلة كبيرة، وينتمي أعضاء داعش المتواجدون هناك إلى جنسيات مختلفة، منها ليبيا والمغرب وسوريا والعراق وأفغانستان، ومنذ أن عرفوا بالديانة التي يعتنقها أعضاء دين السلام والنور الأحمدي أصبحوا يصيحون باستمرار بأقوال مهينة مثل "كفار" و "مرتدين"

المقلق والمريب هو أنه يبدو أن إدارة مركز الاحتجاز تفضل أعضاء داعش هؤلاء، حيث تعاملهم معاملة خاصة، وتقدم لهم طعام أفضل وامتيازات مثل كروت الهاتف مجاناً، كما أكدت السيدة على أن أعضاء داعش يتلقون الاحترام والحماية، بينما لا تتدخل الإدارة أو تقدم أي شكل من أشكال الحماية لأعضائنا المحتجزين، وتحذر بأن أعضاءنا في خطر شديد، حيث أن أعضاء داعش معروفون بميولهم إلى العنف، كما أعربت عن قلقها العميق، حيث تم إبلاغها بأنهم يراقبون أعضاءنا المحتجزين ويضايقونهم باستمرار

وروى منير مهدي في شهادته الخاصة تفاصيل حادثة الاعتداء التي تعرض لها، وقال إنهم كانوا جالسين بالخارج يشاهدون التلفزيون بعد أن سُمح لكبار السن بالخروج، وفجأة ظهر شخص يُعتقد أنه إسلامي متطرف، ربما يكون عضوًا في داعش، وقام بتغيير القناة بشكل مفاجئ، وعندما سُئل عن هذا الفعل، اعتدى ذلك الفرد على منير جسديًا وضربه في حالة من الغضب والعدوانية، حاول منير تهدئة المهاجم، لكن رده ظل عنيفًا، وقام المهاجم بإهانتهم ووصفهم بـ "الكفرة" و "المرتدين"، وفي النهاية، تدخل حراس السجن، ولكن فوجئ منير بأنهم وقفوا إلى جانب المهاجم، ووضع الحراس منير بالداخل بينما سمحوا للمهاجم بالبقاء بالخارج، هذه المعاملة الظالمة ونظرات التهديد والوعيد الآتية من المهاجمين جعلت منير يشعر بالعجز والقلق على سلامته

وعلى صعيد آخر وصفت إحدى أعضائنا المحتجزين من الجزائر، وهي سمية فوفا، في شهادتها الأخيرة الوضع الخطير الذي تعيشه حاليًا حيث لا تزال محتجزة في ظل الظروف غير الآمنة المذكورة أعلاه في مركز الترحيل، وكشفت سمية أن سبب اضطرارها إلى الفرار من بلادها وطلب اللجوء في بلد أكثر أمانًا هي التهديدات التي تواجهها في الجزائر بسبب إيمانها بدين السلام والنور الأحمدي وبسبب ميولها الجنسية

وصرحت بأن التهديدات تصاعدت منذ رحيلها وساء وضعها مع احتجازها في مركز الترحيل في تركيا، حيث تتعرض للترهيب والاضطهاد المستمر بسبب رفضها التخلي عن دينها وعن ميولها الجنسية، مما تسبب لها في كرب ومعاناة شديدة

وأصدرت السلطات التركية أوامر بالترحيل ضد سمية وبقية المجموعة، مما قد يعني الموت المؤكد لأفراد مجتمع الميم في الجزائر، وتطلب سمية المساعدة على وجه السرعة للإفراج عنها ومنحها اللجوء في أراضي آمنة حيث يمكنها ممارسة ديانتها بحرية دون خوف من الاضطهاد على أساس عقيدتها أو توجهها الجنسي

من الجدير بالذكر أن أعضاءنا محتجزون في نفس الجناح، وهو  الجناح أ، المتواجد فيه أعضاء داعش والإسلاميون، ومع أنهم ليسوا في نفس الغرفة، إلا أنهم جميعًا يتشاركون نفس القاعة عندما يخرجون

الوضع مقلق للغاية، ويجب اتخاذ إجراءات فورية لضمان سلامة أعضاءنا المحتجزين، نناشد جميع الجهات والمنظمات المعنية بالتدخل الفوري وتوفير الحماية لأعضائنا الذين يواجهون ظروفاً خطيرة واعتداءات مستهدفة، وسنواصل مراقبة الوضع عن كثب وتقديم التحديثات حال توفرها
