The Issue

As human rights activists we are deeply moved by the plight of the oppressed and suffering in conflict zones, we are Gates to Mercy compelled to raise our voice in solidarity with thousands of innocent women, children, and elderly civilians trapped in one of the most densely populated military conflict zones on earth - Gaza. The Rafah crossing between Gaza strip and Egypt remains closed, leaving these vulnerable individuals stranded amidst escalating violence.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has a mandate to promote and protect all human rights around the globe. We urgently call upon them to intervene immediately, applying international pressure on Egypt to open their gates at the Rafah crossing. This action is crucial in allowing safe passage for civilians fleeing from this catastrophic situation.

Furthermore, we implore that humanitarian aid be directed towards creating facilities that can accommodate refugees while supplying food and medicine. The need for basic necessities is dire.

In this critical time where lives hang in balance due to political strife and military conflicts, it is our collective responsibility as global citizens to ensure safety for those who are most vulnerable among us. Let's unite our voices demanding immediate action from OHCHR – because every life saved counts.

Please sign this petition now – let's stand together against human suffering.
