For several days, Kurdish neighborhoods in Syria have been exposed to escalating violence, placing the lives of hundreds of innocent civilian families at serious risk. These areas, inhabited by ordinary people with no involvement in armed conflict, have been subjected to bombardments, armed clashes, and indiscriminate attacks.

As a result, civilians have been killed and injured, families have been forcibly displaced, and homes and essential infrastructure have been destroyed. Entire neighborhoods have been left in ruins. Children, elderly people, and other vulnerable civilians are living in constant fear, trauma, and insecurity.

The humanitarian situation in these Kurdish civilian areas is rapidly deteriorating. Access to medical care is extremely limited, with hospitals and clinics damaged or overwhelmed. Many injured civilians are unable to receive urgent treatment. Food, clean water, electricity, and basic necessities are becoming increasingly scarce, leaving families struggling to survive under life-threatening conditions.

Despite the gravity of the situation, the suffering of Kurdish civilians continues largely without sufficient international attention or action.

We therefore urgently call on the international community to take immediate and concrete steps to prevent further loss of life and human suffering. Specifically, we demand:

An immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Kurdish civilian areas

Safe and unrestricted humanitarian access to all affected neighborhoods

Effective protection for civilians and families under direct threat

Independent monitoring and documentation of human rights violations

The deployment of international observers by the United Nations, the European Union, and humanitarian NGOs

The international community has a moral and legal responsibility to protect civilian populations and to uphold fundamental human rights. Silence and inaction in the face of these attacks only allow the violence to continue and worsen.
