Erwin Farms, Timber Creek, and Painted Tree communities have been expanding rapidly over the past few years with several new houses already constructed and more under construction. With this rapid growth comes an increased need for more local schools. Currently, there are only two - Press Elementary and McClure Elementary School, which are significantly distanced from these communities. The children of these communities, who are our future, are forced to travel long distances for elementary education, which is neither ideal nor sustainable for their growth. There is an urgent need for the construction of a new elementary school closer to these communities. We call on our representative authority to acknowledge the urgency of the situation, consider the growing number of children in these communities, and invest in a new elementary school to foster their growth, development, and convenience. Additionally, as per TEA guidelines, the elementary school has to be within a 2-mile radius. We firmly believe that this action would enhance these communities' quality of life and their children's learning experience.
