We, the undersigned, demand that Penguin Random House and its imprint Harmony Books immediately sever all professional and financial ties with Deepak Chopra.
The February 2026 release of the "Epstein Files" has exposed a pattern of behavior by Mr. Chopra that is not merely "poor judgment," as he claims, but a gross violation of the ethics he purports to teach: For a "spiritual leader" to engage in the casual objectification of women and facilitate the movement of "guests" for a convicted sex offender is an irredeemable betrayal of public trust.
The following details were unsealed in the latest tranche of Department of Justice files:
"Cute Girls" Exchange: In March 2017, Epstein asked if a cell has "emotion" and then immediately followed with: "Did you find me a cute Israeli?" Chopra replied that the universe and cells are "human constructs" but added, "Cute girls are real."
• Procurement Assistance: When asked for a "cute Israeli blonde," Chopra responded: "I can/Warning: They are militant aggressive and [very] sexy."
• Event Guests: In 2017, when Epstein could not attend a meditation event, he offered to send "two girls" instead. Chopra replied, "Please send their names and I will put their names as guests," later following up with an urgent request to his assistant for their names "ASAP."
• Legal Support: In 2016, Chopra emailed Epstein to ask if a specific civil case against him (regarding a minor) had been dropped. When Epstein confirmed, Chopra replied, "Good."
The Epstein emails are not an isolated incident of poor judgment. They appear to be part of a broader pattern of conduct, as evidenced by the recent allegations from survivors like Sevda Rubens. This makes the termination of your contract with Mr. Chopra a matter of safety and corporate ethics, not just PR.
We call for the following actions:
• Contract Termination: Immediately cancel the publication of any future works and cease the distribution of his 2026 release, Awakening.
• Public Denouncement: Issue a formal statement acknowledging the content of the emails and clarifying that PRH does not support associates who aided or normalized the social circle of a known predator.
• Financial Restitution: Direct a substantial portion of the royalties from Mr. Chopra’s backlist titles toward the Epstein Victims’ Restitution Fund.
The era of the "untouchable guru" is over. We will no longer fund the platform of an individual who exchanged jokes about "prey" and "cute girls" with a sex trafficker.
