The Issue

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the ongoing rise in the cost of living, particularly the continual increase in fuel prices. Each visit to the petrol station brings higher costs, making it increasingly difficult for ordinary working people to manage everyday expenses.

Despite working full-time, many of us receive little to no direct support, while taxes continue to rise and salaries remain largely unchanged. This growing imbalance means that incomes are no longer keeping up with the reality of modern living costs, leaving working individuals and families under constant financial pressure.

We believe that the current situation is unsustainable. Working people should not have to struggle day by day to afford basic necessities.

We therefore call on the Government to:

-Raise the income tax threshold so that working people can keep more of what they earn
-Take meaningful action to address rising fuel and living costs
-Provide fair and effective support for working individuals and families

We urge our elected representatives to raise this issue in Parliament and take immediate action. Working people need support, and decisive steps must be taken to ensure a fair and sustainable standard of living.
