Urgent Call to Save Wrisha (Verisheh) Moradi’s Life

The Issue

We, the undersigned, urgently call for the immediate release of Wrisha (Verisheh) Moradi, a Kurdish woman who is facing execution in Iran's notorious Evin Prison. She is being punished not for any crime, but for her unwavering fight for women’s rights and Kurdish freedom. Moradi is a survivor of battles against ISIS, where she stood bravely against the dark forces of extremism, defending her people and protecting the rights of women.

Today, she faces imminent execution at the hands of the Iranian regime. Her health is failing after months of solitary confinement, torture, and a relentless hunger strike. In her own words, she wrote:

"Wherever we are, our stance remains the same: humanity, freedom, and beauty. Whether I was in the serene beauty of nature, fighting the dark forces of ISIS, or now in the chains of an unjust system—I remain firm in my commitment to freedom. Let the stance of women be the final chapter in the struggle against patriarchal tyranny. Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom)."

We call upon the international community, human rights organizations, and governments to:

* Demand the immediate and unconditional release of Wrisha Moradi.

* Urge the Iranian government to halt all executions.

Moradi's fight against ISIS was a fight for universal human rights and dignity. Now it is our responsibility to stand up for her. We must act swiftly and decisively to prevent this grave injustice and save her life.
