As Iranian citizens forced to live abroad, we can speak without fear of persecution and arrest and we want to launch an urgent appeal to the international community: stop the attacks on Iranian cities lead by Benjamin Netanyahu, indicted for war crimes against the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip. Iranian civil society is helplessly watching a war that it did not choose but risks paying the highest price for. Iranian civil society is young and progressive, for years it has been fighting to put an end to the religious dictatorship of the Islamic Republic with courage and determination, paying a very high price. It is the same civil society that, after the assassination of Mahsa Jina Amini, rose up supporting the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement. It was women's civil disobedience to force the regime to retreat, leading the country to a change that is now irreversible. The Iranian people took to the streets with bare hands, risking arrest, torture, arbitrary detention and death. They were not asking for military intervention by foreign powers to overthrow the regime, but for recognition and support for the path towards freedom and justice carried out by those who, for over forty years, have promoted the values of democracy and equality.
Today, the most valuable voices of this civil society are under surveillance. All theri words on the current crisis could cost them prison. Yet it is to them that we must listen, not to the missiles. The explosions of the last few days, which despite the war rhetoric hit the Pasdaran but also civilians and opponents, will not bring freedom. Israel, or any other foreign power, cannot and must not be the architect of change in Iran.
Iran will be free. But it will be free thanks to its daughters and sons. Not with external violence, but with the strength of a civil society that continues to resist.
We ask anyone who believes in the values of peace and human rights to firmly and indignantly condemn the killing of civilians in Iran and in the rest of the world, by taking to the streets, signing petitions and promoting any useful action to put pressure on the international community to stop another massacre. Do everything in your power to stop this dangerous military escalation.
The history of humanity teaches that in war there are no winners: everyone comes out defeated. Democracy cannot be achieved through war and destruction.

Come cittadine e cittadini iraniani costretti a vivere fuori dall’Iran ma per questo liberi di parlare a volto scoperto senza temere persecuzioni e arresti, vogliamo lanciare un appello urgente alla comunità internazionale affinché fermi gli attacchi contro le città iraniane da parte di Benjamin Netanyahu, accusato dalla Corte dell’Aja di crimini di guerra nei confronti della popolazione palestinese della striscia di Gaza. La società civile iraniana assiste inerme a una guerra che non ha scelto e di cui rischia di pagare al prezzo più alto. Si tratta di una società civile giovane e progressista, che da anni lotta per porre fine alla dittatura religiosa della Repubblica Islamica con coraggio e determinazione, a costi altissimi. È la stessa società civile che, dopo l’assassinio di Mahsa Jina Amini, si è sollevata sostenendo il movimento “Donna, Vita, Libertà”. E’ stata la disobbedienza civile delle donne a far indietreggiare il regime, portando il Paese a un cambiamento sociale ormai irreversibile. Il popolo iraniano è sceso in piazza a mani nude, sfidando arresti, torture, detenzioni arbitrarie e morte: non ha più chiesto l’intervento militare di potenze straniere per abbattere il regime, ha chiesto invece il riconoscimento e il sostegno al cammino verso la libertà e la giustizia intrapreso da chi, da oltre quarant’anni, promuove i valori di democrazia e uguaglianza.
Oggi le voci più autorevoli di questa società civile sono sorvegliate a vista. Ogni loro parola sulla crisi attuale può costare il carcere. Eppure è a loro che dobbiamo dare ascolto, non ai missili. Gli attacchi degli ultimi giorni, che nonostante la retorica bellica colpiscono sì i pasdaran ma anche civili e oppositori, non porteranno la libertà. Israele, o qualsiasi altra potenza straniera, non può e non deve essere l’artefice del cambiamento in Iran.
L’Iran sarà libero. Ma sarà libero grazie alle sue figlie e ai suoi figli. Non con la violenza esterna, ma con la forza di una società civile che continua a resistere.
Chiediamo a chiunque creda nei valori della pace e dei diritti umani di condannare fermamente, e con indignazione, l’uccisione di civili in Iran e nel resto del mondo, scendendo in piazza, firmando petizioni e promuovendo ogni azione utile per fare pressione sulla comunità internazionale affinché fermi un altro massacro. Fate tutto ciò che è in vostro potere per fermare questa pericolosa escalation militare.
La storia dell’umanità insegna che nella guerra non ci sono vincitori: tutti ne escono sconfitti. La democrazia non può essere realizzata attraverso la guerra e la distruzione.

فراخوان فوری به جامعه جهانی برای صلح در ایران

ما، گروهی از شهروندان ایرانی که ناگزیر به زندگی در خارج از ایران شده‌ایم و می‌توانیم بی‌هراس از تعقیب و بازداشت، آزادانه سخن بگوییم، در فراخوانی فوری از جامعه جهانی می‌خواهیم تا حملات بی وقفه به شهرهای ایران را که توسط بنیامین نتانیاهو  – که به جرم جنایات جنگی علیه مردم فلسطین در نوار غزه تحت پیگرد قرار دارد – محکوم کنند.

جامعه مدنی ایران، نظاره‌گر و ناتوان در برابر حملات ویرانگری قرار گرفته است  که در آن هیچ نقشی نداشته.  جامعه‌ای جوان و پیشرو که سال‌هاست با شجاعت و پافشاری علیه استبداد مذهبی جمهوری اسلامی مبارزه می‌کند و بهای بسیار سنگینی می‌می پردازد.

جامعه‌ای که پس از قتل حکومتی مهسا ژینا امینی، با جنبش «زن، زندگی، آزادی» به پا خاست و با نافرمانی مدنی زنان، حکومت  را وادار به عقب‌نشینی کرد و کشور را به سوی تغییری برگشت‌ناپذیر سوق داد.

مردم ایران با دستان خالی به خیابان آمدند، با خطر بازداشت، شکنجه، حبس‌های خودسرانه و حتی مرگ روبه‌رو شدند، بی‌آن‌که خواستار دخالت نظامی قدرت‌های خارجی برای سرنگونی نظام جمهوری اسلامی باشند. آنان خواهان به‌رسمیت‌شناخته شدن مبارزات‌شان در مسیر آزادی و عدالت‌اند؛ مسیری که بیش از چهل سال است توسط کسانی که به ارزش‌های دموکراسی و برابری باور دارند، پیگیری می‌شود.

امروز، برجسته‌ترین صداهای این جامعه مدنی تحت شدیدترین فشارها قرار دارند. هر کلام‌شان درباره بحران کنونی می‌تواند به زندان بینجامد. با این‌حال، باید به این صداها گوش فرا دهیم، نه به صدای موشک‌ها.

انفجارهای اخیر – که علیرغم لفاظی‌های جنگ‌طلبانه، هم نیروهای سپاه پاسداران را هدف قرار می‌دهند و هم غیرنظامیان و مخالفان را – آزادی به ارمغان نمی‌آورد. نه دولت اسرائیل و نه هیچ قدرت خارجی دیگری، نمی‌تواند عامل استقرار دموکراسی در ایران باشند.

ایران آزاد خواهد شد، اما این آزادی به‌دست ایرانیان تحقق خواهد بافت. نه حمله نظامی خارجی، بلکه با نیروی جامعه مدنی‌ که همچنان مقاومت می‌کند.

ما از تمام کسانی که به ارزش‌های صلح و حقوق بشر باور دارند می‌خواهیم که کشتار غیرنظامیان در ایران و سایر نقاط جهان را به‌شدت و با خشم محکوم کنند، به خیابان بیایند، کارزارها را امضا کنند و از  هر اقدامی برای توقف این فاجعه نظامی حمایت کنند.
چرا که تاریخ بشریت گواه آن است که هیچ جنگی در هیچ جای جهان هرگز برنده ای نداشته و دموکراسی هرگز از مسیر جنگ و ماشین‌های  کشتار به دست نیامده است .
