Subject: Urgent Appeal to Halt Israel’s Military Aggression Against Iran and to Uphold Regional and Global Peace

Your Excellencies,

We, the undersigned members of the Iranian diaspora, address you with grave concern and a profound sense of responsibility regarding the fate of our homeland, the preservation of international peace, and the urgent need to prevent a broader regional and global crisis.

In recent days, the Israeli regime, in an act of blatant and strongly condemned aggression, has launched direct military strikes on Iranian territory, flagrantly violating the sovereignty of an independent UN member state. These attacks have targeted Iran’s vital infrastructure and constitute a stark violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, international law, and relevant international conventions.

Such military aggression, carried out without any legal justification or international authorisation, constitutes a blatant breach of Article 2 of the UN Charter and poses a serious and immediate threat to regional and global peace and security. Continuation of these hostilities risks igniting a wider conflict in the already volatile Middle East — one in which the consequences could extend far beyond the region. 

These attacks have already claimed the lives of numerous innocent civilians, including children, and countless more are now at serious risk. The continuation of such acts not only inflicts immense human and moral suffering but also severely undermines collective security and political stability across the region.

Iran, beyond its modern political boundaries, is one of the world’s most ancient centres of civilisation — a civilisation with over three millennia of recorded history. Iran has played a foundational role in shaping the world’s humanistic, scientific, legal, and cultural values, and as such, its heritage deserves the recognition and protection of the global community.

An assault on Iran is not merely a military act against a nation-state; it is an attack on a cornerstone of global civilisation and a shared cultural legacy of humankind. Silence in the face of such aggression not only emboldens lawbreakers but also represents a grave abandonment of the fundamental principles of national sovereignty, justice, human dignity, and international peace.

We, the Iranian diaspora, grounded in global conscience and the established principles of international law, urgently call upon you to pressure the United Nations Security Council to:

1. Officially and unequivocally condemn Israel’s military aggression against Iran, and, through all available diplomatic and legal mechanisms, take immediate measures to halt further Israeli operations, de-escalate tensions in the region, and hold the aggressor accountable through decisive and binding actions;
2. In accordance with humanitarian principles and to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian crisis, all unilateral and multilateral sanctions imposed on Iran must be lifted without delay, and all channels for the delivery of humanitarian, medical, pharmaceutical, and infrastructure aid must be opened.

We firmly believe that your action in this critical moment will serve as a historic test of the credibility of international institutions, the integrity of the United Nations Charter, and the prospects for a just and peaceful world.

موضوع: درخواست فوری برای توقف تجاوز نظامی اسرائیل به ایران و دفاع از صلح منطقه‌ای و جهانی از سوی هزاران تن از فرهیختگان خارج از کشور

 

عالیجنابان محترم،

ما، ایرانیان مقیم خارج از کشور، با نگرانی عمیق و احساس مسئولیت نسبت به سرنوشت ملت خود، حفظ صلح بین‌المللی و جلوگیری از بروز یک بحران منطقه‌ای و جهانی، این نامه را به حضور شما تقدیم می‌داریم.

در روزهای اخیر، رژیم اسرائیل با انجام حملاتی مستقیم به خاک ایران، در تجاوزی آشکار و به شدت محکوم حاکمیت ملی یک کشور مستقل عضو سازمان ملل را نقض کرده است. این حملات زیرساخت‌های حیاتی ایران را هدف قرار داده‌اند و در تضاد کامل با اصول بنیادین منشور سازمان ملل متحد، قواعد حقوق بین‌الملل و مفاد کنوانسیون‌های بین‌المللی قرار دارند.

 تجاوز نظامی به یک کشور مستقل، بدون هیچ‌گونه مجوز یا توجیه حقوقی معتبر، نقض صریح ماده ۲ منشور سازمان ملل است و تهدیدی مستقیم علیه صلح و امنیت منطقه‌ای و جهانی به شمار می‌آید. ادامه این روند، خطر برافروخته شدن آتشی بزرگ در منطقه حساس خاورمیانه را در پی دارد؛ آتشی که پیامدهای آن می‌تواند دامنگیر تمامی جهان شود.

در جریان این حملات، جان انسان‌های بی‌گناه بسیاری از جمله زنان و کودکان گرفته شده و جان غیرنظامیان بی شماری در معرض خطر قرار دارد. تداوم چنین شرایطی نه‌تنها خسارات انسانی و اخلاقی عظیمی در پی خواهد داشت، بلکه امنیت جمعی و ثبات سیاسی منطقه را به‌شدت متزلزل خواهد ساخت.

ایران، فراتر از مرزهای جغرافیایی خود، یکی از قدیمی‌ترین مراکز تمدن بشری است. تمدنی که با بیش از سه هزار سال تاریخ مکتوب، در شکل‌گیری ارزش‌های انسانی، علمی، فرهنگی و حقوقی جهان امروز نقشی بزرگ داشته که شایسته پاسداشت و حمایت جامعه جهانی است.

حمله به ایران، تنها یک اقدام نظامی نیست؛ بلکه حمله‌ای است به یکی از ارکان تاریخی تمدن جهانی و به میراث مشترک بشری. سکوت در برابر چنین تجاوزی، نه‌تنها تشویق  قانون‌شکنان است، بلکه به معنای چشم‌پوشی از اصول بنیادین استقلال ملت ها، عدالت، کرامت انسانی، و صلح بین‌المللی خواهد بود.

ما، ایرانیان خارج از کشور، با تکیه بر وجدان جهانی و حقوق مصرح بین‌المللی، از شما درخواست داریم،  از شورای امنیت سازمان ملل مطالبه نمایید که به فوریت:

تجاوز نظامی اسرائیل به خاک ایران را به‌طور رسمی و صریح محکوم و با استفاده از ظرفیت‌های دیپلماتیک و حقوقی، اقدامات فوری برای توقف عملیات نظامی اسرائیل و مهار تنش در منطقه و تنبیه متجاوز اتخاذ نمایید؛

در راستای اصول انسان‌دوستانه و جلوگیری از تشدید بحران انسانی، تحریم‌های یک‌جانبه و بین‌المللی علیه ایران فوراً لغو شده و مسیرهای ارسال کمک‌های بشردوستانه، دارویی، پزشکی و زیرساختی به کشور گشوده شود.

ما بر این باوریم که اقدام شما در این لحظه‌ی حساس، آزمونی تاریخی برای اعتبار نهادهای بین‌المللی، اصول منشور سازمان ملل، و آینده صلح جهانی خواهد بود.
