Urgent Alert: Iran Regime Is Killing Protesters and Cutting Internet to Hide Crimes

9,018

The Issue

The Islamic Republic of Iran is violently suppressing peaceful protests across the country. Protesters are being arrested, injured, and killed simply for demanding basic human rights.

At the same time, the authorities have deliberately shut down internet access for the general population, while allowing access only to government-affiliated SIM cards and institutions. This is a calculated attempt to hide evidence of killings, arrests, and human rights violations from the world.

An internet blackout during mass protests is not a security measure — it is a tool of repression. It enables violence, enforced disappearances, and impunity.

The people of Iran are being silenced, isolated, and punished for seeking freedom.

We urgently call on the United Nations, the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Access Now, and democratic governments worldwide to:

Publicly condemn these crimes
Demand the immediate restoration of full internet access in Iran
Take urgent action to protect civilians and hold perpetrators accountable

Silence enables oppression.

The world must act now.
