I wanted to provide you with an important update. The community that was previously located on Winston Drive has had to relocate due to the new 4-hour parking regulations, which are now being enforced and could result in citations for those remaining.
Currently, the community is seeking shelter at the Pomeroy Center near the zoo. We hope to appeal to the leadership within the zoo to offer a designated space that could provide the stability and security these families and individuals desperately need. They are not asking for much—just a space where they can park safely and with dignity.
We must advocate for this safe parking site. We need the zoo to support this initiative to secure a location by the zoo. This would offer a critical solution while we continue to seek long-term housing options.
Please join us in pushing for this necessary action and raising awareness about the pressing issue of homelessness. Our community’s well-being depends on our collective efforts to support and protect our most vulnerable residents.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support and commitment.
