Your support has meant the world to us and we are very thankful - nearly 20,000 people have signed the petition within 72 hours. Jimmy has sent the following text: "Hello my friends! By your prayers and support, the deportation ticket was cancelled last evening when they had taken me to the airport. I thank you all. Jimmy"
As you know, Jimmy's situation is very urgent. We really don't know what will happen to Jimmy now and we just need the Home Office to exercise compassion and allow him to stay.
Will you please help us by writing to the Home Secretary today? There is a template below to make it quick and easy. This action may take a minute or two - but it might save Jimmy's life.
Thank you !
P.S. Please also comment to say that you've done this so that it will
encourage others to do the same too.

Dear Ms Rudd,
You may be aware of this petition to save Jimmy Kyesswa from being deported to Uganda: www.change.org/savejimmy - we desperately need your help.
Deporting Jimmy to Uganda is a death sentence. Jimmy is a gay man and in Uganda it is well known that gay people face persecution on a daily basis, such as mob violence, imprisonment and death.
If deported, Jimmy would lose his relationship with his boyfriend, his
community in Manchester and would have to try to avoid persecution by living in hiding. We fear that he would be discovered and killed by
homophobic mobs.
Please can you exercise your discretion as Home Secretary and allow Jimmy to continue his life here free from constant fear of removal.
Thank you,
Yours sincerely,
