We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel. We urge governments across the globe to take immediate action to ensure the provision of basic humanitarian aid for civilians in both regions and to aim for conflict resolution.

Background:

The conflict between Palestine and Israel has resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Over 2 million people are currently in need of humanitarian assistance, and civilians on both sides live under constant threat due to escalating violence.

Appeal:

We call upon world leaders and international organizations alike to take immediate action to:

Provide basic humanitarian aid for civilians in both Palestine and Israel, including food, water, medical care, and shelter.
Support the rebuilding of infrastructure and the provision of psychological support for trauma victims.
Aim for conflict resolution and a lasting peace between Palestine and Israel.

  • The Gaza Strip is a narrow, coastal territory located on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Israel to the north and east, and Egypt to the south.
  • The Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated places on earth, with over 2 million people living in an area of just 140 square miles.
  • The unemployment rate in Gaza is over 40%, and over 50% of the population lives in poverty.
  • The infrastructure in Gaza is severely damaged, and the territory experiences regular power outages and water shortages.
  • The healthcare system in Gaza is also under strain, and many people lack access to basic medical care.
  • The Gaza Strip has been under Israeli blockade since 2007, which has severely restricted the movement of people and goods.
  • The blockade has also had a devastating impact on the economy of Gaza, and has made it difficult for humanitarian aid to reach the people who need it most.

Here are some additional facts and stats:

  • Over 2 million people in Gaza are currently in need of humanitarian assistance.
  • Over 70% of the population of Gaza rely on food aid.
  • Over 90% of the water in Gaza is undrinkable.
  • Over 40% of the population of Gaza are children.
  • Over 50% of the population of Gaza are refugees.
  • The situation in Gaza is complex and challenging, but it is important to remember that the people of Gaza are human beings who deserve to live in peace and dignity.

Thank you for your support.
