The Issue

As a proud owner of a Toyota Innova Hycross, I have always trusted the brand for its robust engineering and reliability. However, a glaring oversight in the design has come to for, which also puts not just mine but countless other vehicles at risk.

Toyota Kirloskar has unfortunately left the air fuel ratio wire exposed beneath the underbody of the Innova Hycross. This section of the vehicle, vulnerable to rodent and animal bites, poses a significant threat to the car. Once chewed through or damaged, not only does the wire need replacing, but the Electronic Control Module (ECM) might also require replacement. This repair process is not only a costly affair but also an avoidable inconvenience for the consumer.

The fact that this crucial wire was left exposed may be due to a design flaw or a measure to cut costs, which has left many loyal customers feeling exasperated and concerned. The cost of these repairs runs high, with ECM replacement alone denting consumers' pockets extensively.

I urge Toyota Kirloskar to recognize this issue and act responsibly by voluntarily adding a protective plastic cover over the exposed air fuel ratio wire for all existing and new cars. Rectifying this design fault would not only restore consumer confidence but safeguard vehicles from unnecessary damage.

Vehicle owners who are proud bearers of the Toyota brand should not have to bear the cost of a preventable flaw. Join me in urging Toyota Kirloskar to take immediate action towards a cost-effective and simple solution that ensures the safety and longevity of the Innova Hycross.
