Our society is one steeped in various political ideologies, and while the right to express one's beliefs is foundational to democracy, it is crucial that such expression does not incite violence or induce fear. That is why we are reaching out to the management of Theisens Home Farm & Auto with a humble request. Recently, we came to know that tjust weeks before the election, the company has started selling the Glock Trump Edition 9mm semi-automatic pistol. It is red, white and blue, with an image of Trump and a stylized American Flag on each side.  Text on one side reads "Fight! For America" and "2024".  Other side reads "MAGA" and ""Battle Worn, Battle Tested".  This issue concerns us because we genuinely fear that the political symbolism associated with this product may provoke political violence following the 2024 election.

Political violence has been a recurring problem in our society. According to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project, there were more than 10,000 violent demonstrations and protests across the United States in 2020 alone. This statistic serves as a reminder of the potential risks we face in an already polarized political climate.

We believe in the power of responsible business practices. We are not demanding the cessation of all firearm sales. However, we truly think that avoiding politically charged items like the Glock Trump Edition could significantly contribute to the climate of peace we should all strive for.

The world we hope for is one where businesses prioritize the safety and well-being of communities over the sale of items that could harm innocent people. We ask Theisens Home Farm & Auto management to consider this earnest request, weigh the potential implications, and make a responsible decision—stop selling the Glock Trump Edition 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
