We mourn the loss of Choi Geum-seon who passed away last week at the age of 90. She was a “Comfort Woman” survivor and one of the countless victims of the system of sexual slavery and human trafficking institutionalized by Japan’s Imperial Army during WWII. We will not stop pressuring the Japanese government until they offer a formal apology and recognize their historical responsibility for these atrocities.
