We have surpassed 41,000 signatures on this petition, so thanks to each of you for adding your voice to ensure that Japan formally recognizes and apologizes to the women and girls its Imperial Army trafficked to military brothels for sexual slavery.
Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will speak before a US Congressional joint session on April 29, 2015. One of the remaining “comfort women” survivors, Yong-Soo Lee, 86, has traveled to Washington DC to urge Abe to apologize. Let us join her efforts. If you have US congressional representatives, call them to let them know that we stand with Ms. Lee and want Abe to issue an apology to “comfort women” in his address to US Congress.
