Urge the Government of Grenada to distribute the housing units to those in need!

Urge the Government of Grenada to distribute the housing units to those in need!
The Issue
I, a concerned citizen of Grenada, am rallying others to join me in imploring our government to deliver on its obligations. Not long ago, low-income housing units were generously donated to our government with the purpose of helping individuals in need – the citizens who are now struggling to find shelter, particularly after the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl. Shelter is a basic human right, not a privilege; it is the right thing to do, the humane thing to do!
Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique (especially Carriacou, and Petite Martinique) were significantly impacted by Hurricane Beryl, a storm that multiplied the hardship faced by individuals already struggling with housing insecurities. The burden has been carried disproportionally by the low-income population. Therefore, now, more than ever, these donated housing units are of utmost importance. Sadly, due to change of government policy, political and bureaucratic hurdles, the transition has been unnecessarily slow. The people of Grenada Carriacou and Petite Martinique are waiting, and they can't wait any longer for these homes.
The government has a social responsibility to protect its citizens, particularly the most vulnerable. We shouldn't be battling red tape when our fellow citizens are needing a roof over their heads. This failure to distribute the donated housing units goes against the principles of integrity, adequacy, and availability, which are crucial aspects of the right to housing under International Human Rights Laws.
The time is now! Our demand is simple: Action needs to be taken, the homes must be distributed. This petition asks our Government of Grenada to expedite the process of handing out these vital donated homes. We need your support to make this plea heard. Please help the people of Grenada by signing this petition. Let's stand together and urge our government to put the welfare of its citizens before bureaucratic procedures, politics and financial gain.
