Update January 30, 2026: Urge the EPA, FHWA, & MoDOT to Construct Sound Walls along I-270

Dear Supporters,

I am taking the next three weeks off from posting to our petition:

www.change.org/Orchard_Lakes_Sound_Wall. I will also take a break from writing to individuals empowered to build a Sound Wall on I-270. I will continue to edit and critique my 60-day letter of intent, which is basically finished.

My husband is undergoing testing for three recently diagnosed life-altering medical conditions. I cannot continue my regular duties and/or commitments, including:

• Caring for my husband and my adult disabled child,
• Overseeing my medically impaired 87-year-old aunt’s care,
• Researching case law,
• Writing to political leaders and governmental agencies, 
• Posting to our petition website, and
• Helping my husband get medical tests…

While I take a step away, think on the following:

What do you think of offering to pay part of the cost for a sound wall? Could we organize a statewide fundraiser? How can we, the supporters, organize a for-fee event of some type or sell a worthwhile item to raise funds?

We now have eight hundred sixty-three (863) supporters. Please ask an acquaintance, friend, or family member to sign our petition.
