April 30, 2025, update for the petition “Urge MoDOT to Construct Sound Wall Along Highway 270

Since April 2, my efforts to advocate for MoDOT to build a sound wall include mailing (by USPS) the petition to 400 Missouri Voters living adjacent to I-270, making social media posts (on NextDoor.com and Facebook.com), emailing state representatives, and asking for FOIA information from MoDOT (to determine why MoDOT did not build a sound wall during the I-270 expansion in 2000-2011).
Change.org shows the petition has received 3,666 petition viewers, 289 supporters, and 19 petition promoters. I still aim to get 1,000 Missouri Voters' signatures on the petition. Please remember all registered Missouri voters (not just one voter per household) may sign the petition. It is advantageous to proceed with the next steps of organizing a committee with at least one representative from each subdivision or community that would like a sound wall, committee members canvassing owners of properties adjacent to I-270 for input on the letter to the Director of MoDOT, and to collect signatures concurrently. Committee volunteers should contact me. Committee members and I will include all comments (posted to Change.org by supporters) in the letter to MoDOT.
Thank you, I appreciate your support!
