Twitter/X has become notorious for letting users create and distribute deep fake pornography and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These materials not only violate the rights and dignity of individuals but also pose severe psychological harm to victims and their families.

 Furthermore, the availability of such heinous content fosters a toxic environment that no community should endure.

Beyond these grievous issues, Twitter/X has frequently facilitated the spread of misinformation, propaganda, and hate speech. 

The unchecked distribution of misinfo, extremist content, and bigotry serves to polarize communities, incite violence, and propagate mistrust. The Canadian public deserves a digital environment that prioritizes truth, respect, and safety.
