BAN FOIE GRAS IN TX!

As an activist, I have witnessed animal cruelty firsthand, and I have watched countless videos of the real-life horrors animals face. These ducks and geese are tortured before they are killed for their diseased livers. The production of foie gras involves force-feeding birds through a process called "gavage," which causes immense suffering and leads to liver disease known as hepatic steatosis. Their livers become diseased, oftentimes distending their abdomens and leading to esophageal infections. They can also suffer from other diseases like pneumonia before they are killed.

Foie gras production is already banned in several countries due to its inherent cruelty, including the UK, Germany, Italy, and Australia. Even within the United States, California has taken a stand by banning its sale.

It's time for Texas to join these compassionate regions by banning the import and sale of foie gras. By doing so, we can take a significant step towards ending this inhumane practice for good.
