St. Edward's is a college rooted in its core values as a diverse and inclusive institution. Being located in Austin, a Deaf-rich community, the lack of any Deaf or sign language classes is a huge concern for the community. American Sign Language is a practical, easy to learn language that helps to communicate with marginalized groups, and is helpful for everyday life. Sign this petition to raise awareness to not only the Deaf community, but for St. Edward's to include American Sign Language classes in the curriculum.
