Durante demasiado tiempo, la situación de Gaza y su pueblo ha sido ignorada por la comunidad internacional. Como alguien que está profundamente preocupado por las violaciones del derecho internacional por parte del gobierno de Israel y los actos de piratería y secuestro, insto al primer ministro español Pedro Sánchez a tomar una posición ordenando a la Armada española que escolte a la flotilla Sumud a Gaza. Las acciones del gobierno israelí en la interceptación y detención de activistas pacíficos y suministros humanitarios destinados al pueblo de Gaza no pueden continuar sin control.

El bloqueo de Gaza ha provocado una crisis humanitaria de proporciones inimaginables, con el acceso a suministros esenciales como alimentos, medicamentos y materiales de construcción severamente restringidos. For too long, the situation in Gaza and its people has been ignored by the international community. As someone who is deeply concerned about the violations of international law by the Israeli government and the acts of piracy and kidnapping, I urge Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to take a position ordering the Spanish Navy to escort the Sumud flotilla to Gaza. The Israeli government's actions in intercepting and arresting peaceful activists and humanitarian supplies destined for the people of Gaza cannot continue out of control.

The Gaza blockade has led to a humanitarian crisis of unimaginable proportions, with access to essential supplies such as food, medicines and building materials severely restricted. This has been condemned by several international organisations, including the United Nations, but there is still a deafening silence from many governments around the world.

Escorting the Sumud flotilla would send a strong message of support for international law and the basic human rights of the Palestinian people.
