As local retail and hospitality business owners, we rely heavily on the car spaces in front of our premises. Under the Council's current beautification plan, we stand to lose 60% of these spaces along Meninya Street. This change threatens our survival.

An estimated 90% of our customers depend on these parking spaces for easy access. Losing them would not only harm our businesses but also alter Moama's unique character, potentially paving the way for large multinational corporations.

While we understand the need for beautification, we urge the Murray River Council to reconsider the plan's impact on local businesses. There must be a way to enhance our street without devastating the small business community.
