Many neighbors within our community, along with myself, my wife, and my 2-year-old at the time, decided to make one of the biggest decisions of our lives and move to a new home, which turned out to be in the new subdivision in Ward 2 in the Town of Lakeshore, Ontario, at Wallace Line Rd and Old Tecumseh Rd. One of the deciding factors in moving to this new area was the understanding that there would be a park built here in the very near future.

Now, almost 3 years later, and still no park, we are being told by Town Officials that we will have to wait another 2, maybe 5 years, until Phase 2B of the development is complete. This delay is unacceptable for our community's needs.

A park provides essential recreational space for families and promotes physical activity and social interaction among residents.

Therefore, I am starting this petition to urge the town to take immediate action in the construction of the park which help in enhancing our quality of life and foster a stronger sense of community.

We, the undersigned residents of the Town of Lakeshore, urgently request that local authorities prioritize and expedite the construction of the park in our subdivision.

Your swift action on this matter will not only fulfill the promises made to current residents but will also ensure that future residents can enjoy the benefits of this crucial community space without undue delay.
